Welcome to Goddess Lactation! I'm here to provide you with the compassionate and experienced care you need. With over 20 years as a highly-skilled Registered Nurse, I understand the support and guidance you deserve and will ensure you have it every step of the way.
As a wife and mother of a seven-year-old daughter, I developed a passion for breastfeeding and lactation consulting during my own postpartum journey. I faced many challenges and received mixed advice from healthcare professionals during this period, which led me to realize the importance of having access to knowledgeable and supportive resources. This realization fueled my dedication to infant nutrition and helping new families thrive.
I provide education, feeding plans, and other assistance to breastfeeding mothers, and I am a strong advocate for the benefits of infant nutrition, both physically and emotionally. In-Home Visits
Goddess Lactation brings the lactation expertise to your doorstep. Our lactation consultants make breastfeeding more convenient than going to an office – you can nurse or pump in the comfort of your own home, without having to find a babysitter for your other child. Our lactation consultants can provide personalized care and tailored advice, making sure you overcome any breastfeeding challenges you may face.
Office Visits
Goddess Lactation is a practice dedicated to providing mothers and babies with the very best in lactation care. We're passionate about supporting and empowering mothers to make the best feeding choices for their babies. We provide personalized and comprehensive office visits. Whether you need assistance with breastfeeding, pumping, milk supply, latching or just general advice, we are here to help. Our lactation consultants are dedicated to helping you make the best decisions for you and your baby.
Virtual Consultations
We understand everyone’s needs and comfort levels may vary, so to ensure that you have access to the best possible care, we offer our clients a variety of lactation services, such as virtual lactation consultations. Our consultations provide you with the benefits of a one-on-one session, without needing to leave your home. Our mission is to provide mothers with the tools and resources they need to ensure the success of their breastfeeding journey in a method that feels most comfortable and convenient. We are committed to helping mothers reach their goals while providing them with compassionate and personalized lactation services. Our virtual lactation consultations provide mothers with the benefits of convenience, accessibility and privacy.
Classes
Breastfeeding 101
We will talk about what to expect the first days and weeks of chest/breastfeeding, strategies for a successful chest/breast feeding relationship, positioning, milk supply/production and more! This class will provide you with a wide range of chest/breastfeeding knowledge before your baby arrives. Bring a partner or a support person!
Prenatal Breastfeeding class and risk assessment
Shannon was a gem to work with when I had an issue weaning. She was incredibly prompt and responsive and took the time to follow up with me to make sure things were going well. As a first time mom I was very anxious and acutely aware of the importance of making sure my baby was adequately fed. Navigating through this new skill with a newborn while recovering from a prolonged delivery was extremely stressful. Having Shannon as a resource was the calming presence that I needed.
